alright just a quick question does anyone elses car have a slight whine to it nothing major at all, just kind of noticable at low speeds through town when the engine isn't making enough sound to drown it out. I know that some cars just have their own little sounds even though their fine. From what little I do know about transmissons I would assume the sound is from the torque converter.
I'm not worried about it at all because it was inspected when I bought it and everything is fine just curious to see if anyone elses car makes a little noise
 




the only sounds i have are the power steering whining because i need a new pump.

and i also have another sound coming from the bell housing area. when you're driving at lower RPMs (sometimes, not always. most of the time it doesn't make noise) you here a slight, quiet thrashy noise. but surely it's nothing it shifts beautifully. hopefully the torque converter is fine...
idk if that helps you or not but the PS pumps on our cars do get noisy easily if something is wrong so just watch that fluid
 
Only time I have ever heard a trans whine is when I trashed a zzp built trans and the trans pump was straving for fuild because the filter was plugged soild with clutch pack materal. That's the only whine I've ever heard out of a 4T65E. I doubt it's the trans. More likely a p.s issue or somthing in the acc belt area.
 


If it's the trans, then it's past time for a pan drop filter service. If it's something else.. fix it based on the item in question.
