Hi all
I will rebuild my transmission to a HD.
I have a question for the inputshaft.
There you have some teflon sealing rings.
How can you remove the rings from the original inputshaft and how to install them on the new one?
thanks for your answers

Razor blade or pick. They will get destroyed when removing, which is fine since they should not be reused.

Use the proper installation and re-sizing tools.

Short of that; Take your NEW rings and work them on to the shaft with a pick and some petroleum jelly. To re-size them, use a thin piece of plastic (like a file folder) as a buffer with cable ties or hose clamp. Just be careful not to crease the ring. Final sizing will be done when you jam the shaft into the mating components.
