400+hp Needed

bottom end will hold up...look at the grand national guys running stock blocks from the 80's lol

or you can just get another car that has 400 hp stock and rwd and more fun. BOOM VICTORY.

yea u prolly shoulda just saved the money for a 6.0 GTO and u have alrdy had stock 400 hp, prolly woulda been cheaper to get one then to buy a 04+ gtp and mod it to 400 haha oh well

Or, if you really just wanna win 1 race, then take the S/C pulley off, and get a smaller belt, so you can run it right on the hub. Be like running a 0.4 pulley...that's gotta be like 40psi of boosts.

I think by hub you mean the shaft. If you're going to do this, you will also need a bet wrap kit to prevent slip.

Not really, considering most LS2 Goat's around here go for nearly 20 grand.

I could buy a decent '04+ car for $6-8K...and 12 grand worth of work would poop on LS2 GTO's, not to mention whatever else

A simple turbo kit will get you what you need.

It will take EVERYTHING to get a supercharged car to beat a 96 camaro..... if the camaro is even a bit faster than a typical bolt on camaro you need a turbo to beat him for sure.

Best thing about going turbo is the fact you can bolt it on to a stock motor and be done with it.

Cammed LT1 running neck y neck with me...low 13's...I just had a XP, headers, 3.4"...didn't sound like everything to me.

'96 F-Body's aren't that great.

a typical 6speed lt1 with a few tweaks will run 108mph.... thats faster than most all 2.8 pulley gen5 cars out there.

The occasional xpz car with an intercooler and weight reduction will get up over 110 consistently.

Race gas will increase any of the above setups by a few mph as well.

Not really about trap speed, it's all about the 60...He only trapped 109, with mods. It was an M6 car...stock gear...which is whatever, I don't know. It was a 13.27...to my 13.2x...think I was in the 105-106 area at the time.

Oh wellz.
