Got an 05 GTP and want 400 or more hp out of it. My friend gives me hell about it whining (from my CAI) and Id love to have my "Screaming Eagle" kill his 96 Camaro V8. Guys got a lot on it prob around 340's so im hoping 400hp should be enough to shup him up. So Im asking for a list of EVERYTHING Id need to get to or above my goal. Everything from Cams to Rods to Gaskets I dont care. Make a shopping list for me :th_laugh-lol3:

I'd imagine first thing would be a free-flowing intake, open cone is best for flow.

Now that you've got free air coming in, you need to think about the exhaust coming out.. headers are a must for a gtp... search and read up about SD(Speed daddy) headers.

Rockers, I think 1.90's for supercharged ZZPerformance - 1.9 Ratio Modified Rockers #04-01-00001
+Valve springs

Tune tune tune, :: Overkill Motorsports :: ... along with this invest in a wideband sensor and tuner software, at the power you want to make you'll have to know how to scan and make adjustments to watch your motor, it's easy to blow stuff up when you start to pulley down.

Cam, lots of people talk abot XP cam from zzp on here.

Uhh I dunno, I already mentioned dropping s/c pulley sizes, but only with the correct supporting mods or you'll start knocking like a whore.

Cooler spark plugs when you drop pulley sizees?

Im no pro, but that's what I can think of at this hour off the top of my head

OR just turbo it. But that's a whole other adventure.

E-85 would help but you told someone who runs E-85:
get youre bio-***** mess of a car out of my thread and shut the hell up. Use real fuel like a man

You clearly don't know much about the benefits of e-85, and don't care to learn, therefore I'm going to assume that's you hold that ignorant stance on any vehicle modifications and I refuse to help you any further than the link I post above to the safely modding thread. Good luck.

Good luck getting to that 400WHP without a turbo set up.

I bet you could beat him with just over 300 WHP and a built trans with a good motor set up.

And as Mr. Bill said, have lots of money for back up, plus the maybe 4 grand just to build it.

Well...400hp is a pretty high goal...

Also...not always does a 400hp car beat a 340ish HP car..

I dont really see why you cant beat him as is...LT1's are slow (check my sig)

But if you just have to hit 400hp....Gonna need a new beefed up trans for absolute sure.
Build either a Cammed/intercooled S/C setup, or
Turbo.

If you dont know that those entail, then dont even attempt it.

turbo and e85 is gonna be your cheapest route to attain your goal...

and e85 isn fuel... its pure unfiltered urine from the gods....

Or, if you really just wanna win 1 race, then take the S/C pulley off, and get a smaller belt, so you can run it right on the hub. Be like running a 0.4 pulley...that's gotta be like 40psi of boosts.
