4 Channel Amp Install 2004 CompG

I had a 4 channel amp installed on my 2004 compg. its an alpine 50W RMS per channel etc etc.. my front speakers are polk audio and my rears are kicker 6x9's. The amp powers those 4 up, and my factory monsoon amp was wired up so that it runs the tweeters in the front doors and the center speaker on the dash. I kept my stck headunit because i like the factory look. Overall the sound is incredible and the sub isn't even hooked up yet. Well worth the money. not many people get 4 channel amps installed but im glad i did.

I too have a little 4 channel amp installed. The improvement it made is amazing. Especially for the clarity of my 6.5 Inch Polks and my 6X9 speakers. The increased bass is crazy. 6X9's sound like a small sub at times. Can't wait to get my sub into the fray too.

I've Installed an easy dozen of those alpine hideaway amps.. They sound great for the money. I was actually throwing this exact setup/idea back and forth for a few weeks now except experiment with stock speakers then type-r speakers

Edit: I somehow jumped and assumed you got the hideaway unit because it's like 45 or 50 watts rms.. at least that's what I'm referring too my bad.. Anyways I'm glad to hear it sounds good with that amount power. I may give it a shot

It's the only way to go if you're gonna replace the factory speakers. When you replace the factory speakers with aftermarket, it almost always sounds worse because the new speakers are underpowered. They need an amp to bring them alive. The sub, on the other hand, will not sound as good with a LOC. Unless you go with something like the JL audio cleansweep. I wouldn't recommend a cleansweep because I've had nothing but issues with hissing from the outputs. But that was 6 years ago and they hopefully fixed that or there is a better product on the market.
