3rd gear toast

Well my trans finally took a **** in my 06 for the 3rd BLEEPING time. Third gear is gone and if I shift the auto into 1st it wont down-shift anymore. But i still have 1st gear. Im thinking about just running the car into a tree. Would be a ton of fun. Im going to call the dealership and see if they had a warranty on my trans. I can only hope bc I dont have the 2500 for a rebuild or a new one to be installed.

Edit: I called the dealership about 35 min ago and my trans is warranty till 156k miles w00t Its going to the shop Monday at 8:30 am Ill keep everyone posted on how that is lol

Yeh I'm going to see if they can upgrade it to the 4t68e-HD. Try see if I can pay a bit and get a better (stock) trans. Hopefully they can. If not ill just keep taken em out while the are under warranty. Get a new trans every year lol. Lets see thats the 3rd new trany going into it in the last 3 years :th_laugh-lol2:

Well took it in today waiting on the call from the shop. The "tranyguy" at the shop took it for a ride with me and said yeh there is deff something rong with it. But I cant tell anymore till I get a scaner on it. I was gunna say no $h!t Sherlock I could of told u that lol. It's 12:30 now took it in at 8:30 gunna call them in about a hour and see if i can get a update on it.

Sorry for the dubb post. They told me the final drive was out. I got a chevy cobalt ls as my rental. It has the the 2.2 eco-crap. My GP has power everything the cobalt has power nothing not even cruise control. I have a 45 min one way trip to work no cruise sux lol. On a side note I was wondering what the normal operating for the 4t65e. My GP trany was always hitting 200+ wondering if maby that was destroying the trany so much
