So I am pulling my 2001 3800sc this weekend and am curious about what to get to just refresh the motor dont want to completely rebuild it just like new gaskets pushrods stuff like that any suggestions? thanks

You don't mention it needing anything or any noises. Based on that, I'll say "ain't broke or leaking, don't fix it". These engines are often good up into the 300K mile range with an intake gasket and valve cover gasket swap.

okay well Ill just get an oil pan gasket then because that was the fate of my last motor that was in my fiero plus id have to pull the motor to replace it once its in there

rtv the block and the pan, then set the gasket in place and then the pan. put thread sealant on the pan bolts, the ones along the side go through the block and the threads are showing inside, oil seeps down the threads makes that nice dot of oil on the bolt heads.

thats how i did my pan when i did a full re gasket of my whole engine. bone dry since day one over 2 years ago now.
