Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello,

I have been a Grand Prix owner since 2005 when I got my 2001 SE at an auction for a great price. I immediately fell in love with the handling/power and did minor mods on it.

6 years later... I just purchased a fully loaded 05 GT and already I must say the 3800 is sooooo much more fun and badass than the 3100.

I'm here to talk about mods/mechanical/events as I am a true Grand Prix lover!

Ha very nice!

I'm excited to add some mods into this new rig, been reading about the halo and other projector headlights being inefficient so now I don't know what to do :/

I guess just adding an HID conversion kit would be enough!

I am looking into one from Diode Dynamics, is it a good deal for $90?

35w v 50w?

I assume 35w is all someone would need and also could 50w melt the housing?

I'm gonna check that site out right now!

So relay harness will allow my DTR's to continue working?

And also, there are kits for my 9005 and 9006 lights - I would need 1 kit for lows and 1 for hi's?

It's probably unnecessary for HID low and hi, 4 ballasts etc seems like overkill.

I think some of the low/hi kits have the HID for LOW and the halogen for HI.

The relay is a safety net, it portects the circuts from having issue and helps make sure the bulbs dont blow out, the fuse in the harness will go first.

Your DRL's (day time running lights) will stay on all the time, unless you de-activate them. Which I recommend to help the bulbs and ballasts last longer. During the day the DRL run on less power then at night and can damage the ballasts and bulbs.

I am not sure how to take away the DRL on the 04+ models, but i think there is a way.
