Okay so im stumped here. I bought a 3000k HID fog kit off ebay (i know not the best idea) but the bulbs that came with it werent as yellow as i wanted them to be so i thought no big deal ill just buy some other 3000k bulbs. Installed the new bulbs and they are green not just a hint of green but a solid green color. So did i just get jammed on 2 sets of "3000k" bulbs or is it the ebay ballasts that are causing this? and if its just the bulbs what are the best golden deep yellow bulbs to get? (preferably that accept paypal)

I know i used them for my headlights but the problem i only have paypal no credit card so thats why i went off ebay.

I have Beamers equipment; currently running 3300k bulbs. They are as yellow as can be.....

Sounds like you got bad or the wrong colour bulbs.

thos look like how i want them. do you have any shot from the front. and where did you get those bulbs?

alright thanks. So been reading and still haven't found a definitive answer, do the ballast actually effect the bub color? or is it just based off the bulb?

The bulb determines the colour. Using 35w vs 55w will make a difference, but that is it.

With your 3000k bulbs being green, green is way off the colour scale, so they have to boxed wrong. Or made by a colour blind bulb manufacturer. LOL

alright thanks. does anyone have a certain place for the bulb they recommend with that real golden yellow color? preferably that accept paypa lol.

I just talked to my HID guy..... when yellow bulbs have a tinge of green, it is typically a cheap-o/crappy bulb.

Alright thanks Broncoboy. these things didnt have a slight tinge of green there were almost full green, so i guess i get what i paid for lol. and i got them off ebay

Anyone have any recommendations of where to buy good 3000k bulbs that aren't going to break the bank?

Good and cheap don't go together. Theretrofitsource.com is where I go. Yes they're not cheap but they also aren't crappy bulb. Other then that DDM or Vvme may be in your best bet.
