3.8 N/A acting funny

Good morning everyone,

I'm in need of your assistance yet once again.

This morning I stopped at a light, heard what sounded like a truck releasing their air brakes (just not as loud) and then a serious grinding noise all coming from the driver side front tire area :th_lipssealed1:. Thought I had popped a tire, so I pulled over but no flat. Popped the hood, couldnt see anything that stood out as a problem. So I drove off and the grinding continued (metal on metal) for about 30-40 ft. and then was gone. Any ideas of what that can be? I'm planning a 1000+ mile round trip here and dont want to be stranded somewhere.

Check you brakes. Might have an issue w/ the caliper. The metal grinding could be time for pads.

and if you got metal grinding then your gonna need a new rotor now too

Just got finished checking the brakes, have about 50-60% left on the front 75-80% on the rears.

Any play in the hub? When my rear went it made a constant grinding sound.

The air brake noise makes me think of a hissing/pissing noise. How's the brake pedal feel/fluid level etc?

Brake pedal feels normal, level looks good, no signs of leaks from what I can see.

im thinking hub or wheel bearing, did you hear the air brake sound more than once? cause if it only happend once I wouldent worry about it could have been your hvac or somthing

Yes only that once nothing afterwards. I think I'll keep an eye on it and see if anything crazy happens
