3.5 or 3.6

Powerlog is going in this friday. Need to send my money to SmoothFlow friday as well. My overkill is programmed for a 3.5 but I'm thinking with my mods I should go with a 3.6 instead. I don't think the pcm will mind. Im not sure if the autolite 605's are going to hold up to a pulley yet but i will find out when i scan after. I'm thinking I should stick with a 3.6. In my head dropping to a 3.5 is a little much without some internal work like rockers. what do you guys think?

get both. eventually if you stick with this car youll have a drawer full of different pulley sizes.

i think you should be okay with the 3.5, but you never know until you scan it.

X2 and if it were me, I'd put the 3.5 on there. If you need a scan and are in the Indy area anytime, let me know.

i assume your using a modular pulley system?
get used to changing if you want to split hairs.

i took the path most traveled.
drop pulley then grow into it.

i have successfully acquired a 3.4, 3.2, 3.1, and 3.0 pullies. i am going to run whichever one i can get to with 20* of timing. :) hopefully i wont need a 2.8/2.9...

WHy would it be pointless to go with a 3.6? Its 2lbs of boost and a 3.5 is 3lbs.

Im going to write will an email. I just dont really want to add more stress to my car than i already am. im trying to get this baby to last at least 175k. 3.5 just seems like to much pressure without doing rockers or having actual headers. if a 3.5 is "ok" but borderline, its not worth it.

the difference in one pound of boost is a lot. and technically you may not even see a 3 psi change. you might only gain a couple just because.

get the 3.5. if youre worried about it get a plog.

Well it is a modular pulley so its not hard to change. i have faith in the autolite 605's, i wonder if they will hold up with the 3.5. if i have to change plugs again im going to get new MSD 8.5mm wires and thats just more money to spend which i would and should avoid.....ahhhh
