• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

3.1 liter engine mods

supercharged 3.8 swap =)

in all seriousness though, outside of swapping the engine, im not sure there is very much room for improvement outside the usual intake and i guess exhaust work

you can swap in the turbo setup from the 89-90 TGP.

Won't work, the 98 3100 SFI is quite a bit different than the 3.1 MPFI. You'd be better off fabbing your own, it would be alot less hassel anyway.

Honestly man, for info on modding a 60 Degree V6, This is not the site for you. Go to www.60degreeV6.com for more info. Those guys can steer you in the right direction. Good luck.......

turbos and supers make your hp per litre suck balls. I read a lot of **** about modifications and what not, and in the Modified Mag edition with the tour of HKS on Mt. Fuji they build a VQ up all motor and explained how turboing and or supercharging the motor make the hp per litre almost back to stock so it was basically pointless.

BUT! since its a V6 (and that nobody cares about tech numbers) you could turbo one side and supercharge it, kinda like the Gojira Scion Tc.

That **** is rice...and it is called Twincharging...its been done but is absolutely pointless on a motor with near NONE aftermarket support.

Just put a 3800 in it and have fun.

twincharging is a great way to make two different sets of powerbands at the same times. the turbo for the lower end get up and go and a big turbo to haul ass on the top end. id rock a twincharged setup.

Exactly...but not on a 3.1 or a 3.4

**** i would run it on a 2.5L or any V6! if its got a cast block, its on like donkey kong.

Who would twincharge a motor with no mods? Get a chip, CAI, upgrade your exaust 1/2", get a header with the turbo manifold, upgraded fuel delivery, MSD ignition and then talk forced induction. Then possibly some racing heads, and maybe some new cams and you will be rolling fat.

You obviously have no idea what in the hell your talking about. So, I'll tell you.

1) There is no such thing as a chip for these cars. We have PCM's and you have to tune them.
2) Just because the block is cast iron doesn't mean sh*t...I've toasted more than one.
3) So increase your exhaust ONLY a 1/2"? Maybe it worked on your Honda but not these cars.
4) The turbo runs off the crossover...not a turbo manifold like a B-Series, or 4G63. Jesus
5) Just because you have MSD Ignition doesn't mean it is better...the stock ignition in these cars is awesome.
6) Racing Heads? For a 3.1 or 3.4? So like maybe 10 more horsepower? Right. Those motors, or your Cast Iron 2.5 liter V6 won't make **** for power even with a lot of mods.
7) CAM...not cams...these are Overhead Valve Motors, not Dual Overhead Cam motors.

Work for you?

Nick...this makes me sad...he has seen this thread and posted elsewhere...but knows how dumb he is and won't reply. I love it...best part is I was 110% sober :p

ok so basically its not possible. I only have 55,000 miles on the car so I was hoping to use what I had. Besides if I put in a 3.8 I have to get wiring harness and all. I was just hoping there was something bolt on that i could do for just a little boost. Nothing crazy
