re: 22" on your gp

Ummm, sure.

Most of the time because anything larger than 20's is pretty hard on the already weak from the factory 4T65E transmission...all that extra rotating mass...and doing burnouts sure doesn't help it...which is why I always say 18's are plenty for these cars when you lower it.

re: 22" on your gp

UGH Text Speak...

I can handle 20's they look good if done right but anything bigger is just asking for trouble & really its just too darn big. We don't have the wheel well for them and for lawd's sake don't do burnouts with a rim that big your tranny will hate you!

re: 22" on your gp

because there is a point when they just look stupid on a car that is made to have 16s.. ever see 22s or 24s on a first gen w body, they tend to have more ground clearance that a jeep. if i wanted that i would get a suv.

suv's can take bigger wheels and more sub box's and pull all that extra weight so why not go for it if thats what you want

re: 22" on your gp

One word,

NO!

Your car will thank you. Large rims are for trucks and Steve Meade...... and punctuation goes a long way my friend.

re: 22" on your gp

Not gonna lie, I had a pretty rough time trying to read that.

First off, ^^^THIS^^^! We are all adults here, please type like one.

Secondly, The reasons have already been stated about trans issues. Big rims are hard on new cars, because they aren't made to float like the older cars.

re: 22" on your gp

I feel like everyone. Well most people are so quick to automatically hate on anything bigger than 18's. If it's done right 20s look bad a$$ on gps IMO. It it's an 04+ I have seen a few sets of 2s look good. If you can lower it and still fit them more power to ya. Just don't come back b****ing when your tranny toasts. And typing a little better would help around here. I say Post some pics of them.

re: 22" on your gp

i agree the bigger wheels look better on the newer gp. but the new gp could come from the factory with 18s, so going to a 20 is like going to an 18 for the 97-03 guys. finding a light rim in a 20 or 22 and a goos tire that wont cost you an arm and a leg is a pain. and i still dont like the way the cars look with wheels on them that big 9 times out of 10

re: 22" on your gp

Can't stand uneducation. ' means foot. " means inch. I highly doubt you're going for 22 foot rims.

re: 22" on your gp

I have but one question: What is the purpose of this thread?

If you seriously want to know why people don't like large wheels, a search would have shown you why.

Otherwise it suggests you posted this to stir up a reaction and you have received one.

I am forced to conclude this thread is pointless and deserves a lock.

re: 22" on your gp

so let me get this straight. Your 20s were heavy ass chrome but your 22s are not?

I like those wheels. I just think 22s are too big for these cars.
