• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

21st Annual Pontiac Nationals, Norwalk, OH Aug. 3rd-5th, 2012

This is the hotel we'll stay at. It's not far off from Norwalk. This is the one Mike posted about, the Days Inn at Cedar Point.

Check it out here:

I have a manager that is going to call me back about the discounted room rate. I do know that we will have 6-7 double rooms for our group. I will post back once I get it all set up with the manager. Basically it will be like KC from my understanding, you will call and make your reservation and divvy the rooms up how you will.

Standby.

The manager called me back and it looks like the group rate is going to be 20% off.

For roughly 25 people, and 6-7 rooms with double beds, the rate is $103.99 for Friday night and $111.99 for Saturday night, for a total of $215.98 for the weekend. Divide by 4 people and you have a total of $53.99 per person for the weekend.

At this point, they have my name and all I have to do is call back and set up the group name and we can start making reservations. I'm going to give it a this evening and tomorrow to simmer with you fellow and if no one is outraged or opposed, we'll get 'er done. kthx.

People, this means get your **** together and go to the attendance list thread http://www.grandprixforums.net/ohio-august-meet-attendance-list-58332.html and reply if AND ONLY IF you are coming to the meet.....

Well if one person wants a room with two beds then more power to em.

What I was doing was feeding back to you the quoted occupancy the hotel representative told me, and I divvied up the cost for you. You may do it how you like :)

I'm just assuming not everyone attending knows 3 other people or doesn't want to sleep 4 to a room. Some people like their personal space.

I agree...........and thats where your own, personal tent comes into play ;)

Not only that, but we need to keep in mind that this is NOT our event. If the founders of Pontiac Nationls camp, we should do as the romans do. Its kind of disrespectful not to in a way.

I disagree. It's not disrespectful. If you have a camper and the means to camp, by all means have at it. But there's obvious reasons the Norwalk hotels are full. I'm very sure the gpf hotel-stayers will be stayin late at the track anyway, so honestly it's a sleeping matter anyway. No big deal

hell im down.. id perfer to stay with guys ive conversated on this site with on the regular... as i have a sorta bond or more of a not a stranger... i mean hell im not traveling 13
+ hours to pay 200+ for a room... if it ends up like that.. ill go the the cheap hotel down a few more blocks and pay 39.99..

well at this current moment, i've already set up the hotel and theres just a few plannin to camp. so we will see as others chime in. but 9 times out of 10 im not camping. i like to camp, but for this occasion a hotel is best for me.
