20x8.5 rims rubbing

I have a 2007 Grand Prix Special Edition and it came stock with 17x8 size wheels but I put some 20x8.5 size rims on it. Tire size is 255/35/20. The wider rims are rubbing on the edge of the wheels well in the rear when I have a lot of weight in the car and go over bumps. It is ripping up some of the outer wall of the tire and I wanna fix it. Wondering if I put Shocks and struts from a GXP in if that will fix it or if I need something even stiffer. my other option I was considering is some body work and bumping out the wheel wells in back to let the tires tuck underneath better. any thought are appreciated. im trying to find a picture that I can load too.

Roll the fenders.

But it will still rub if you bottom out though, normal rubbing should go away.

^Yup what he said. I also have 20x8.5 and I dont rub anymore.
