The Best Renders Of The 2014.5 Mustang

The more I look at it the more I realize why I like it. Not because its original or unique... its not.

Is is just me or does the new Fords seem to be looking more and more like Aston Martins???

And for giggle I present the "new" GT500 ROFLMAO

And SHO wheels to boot.

I honestly could care less.

V6 is apparently going away already in favor of Ecoboost 4 and Coyote 5.0 with base engine getting boss revisions to make the CHP 444 stock.

Whooopeeee, make the sedan too...ruin it more.

Go ford.

Yeah don't forget the four door. But I'm sure ford will keep the v6 for a little while. People jump to conclusions to quickly....

It will be four doors, front wheel drive, look like a Chinese Aston Martin knock off, and fanboys will kill you if you say anything bad (true) about it.

Sweet lord some of you really need to calm down lol. Four doors will be an option. Clearly don't know to much what your talking about lol. A lot of us don't. We can guess but most likely 90% of what we think won't happen. Remember when some possible photos of ZL1 came out? You guys were ffreaking out over the possibility it might have fart cans. Well that never happened lol.

^ Shush it.

We know it will likely be different but the options alone are worth griping over. How can it be an option? After almost 50 years they decide to create the FIRST Sedan Mustang ever? Ford and Shelby will roll over in their graves! And FWD option? AGAIN with the rolling over in the graves! Its pathetic.

Old fox bodies had a 4 banger turbo that was decent for its day considering the crave for fuel efficiency and they have always had 6cylinders so that isn't bad, but the other things... Just not liking it.

I like the 2012 GTs and they'll stay to 2013 but the "Aston Marton" style is a little too much for me. The Taurus and Focus aren't bad looking but the Mustang is just over the top IMO.

It just doesn't look American to me, its to European to me. Not saying it looks bad but the Mustang is an American icon so keep it looking that way.

^ Ummm... Yes.

Camaro.

I still say it died in 02... the concept replacement is being sold under the same name, but its not worthy of the Camaro name.

90% of the time the concepts aren't produced as they look.... but there are times. Considering the pictures I posted are from Motor Trend, likely this could be the direction Ford is heading. Granted I will agree, its a good possibility it won't be the same, but there is a chance. We won't know for sure until Ford says this is it.

It's a concept. And you can only do a retro look for so long. I for one am excited for the new look. This is 2012 not 1965. If I want a retro car I will go buy one. Ford will go under if they don't change with the times. Adapt and survive. If you don't like it don't buy it lol.

But the 2010/2012 look soooooo good, 05s are Meh

Also the Challenger and Camaro look great. I don't care if the styling is "modern" or not, as long as it looks good I'm happy with it.

Not true at all. People will keep buying it because of what it is and because its the "new" car. Proof is in the fact that you probably can't go 2 city blocks without seeing a "new one" (2-3 years old). Old style or new style Fords sales are thriving, not dwindling because its a "retro" body style. I for one would buy one if I had the funds to.

Same with the corvette. Aside from the 50s models and the Sting rays, every corvette since the late 60s all share the same design. since the 80s there have been little changes in the body, just the power plant updated as technology improves. People will continue to buy them because of what they are, even if it has a horrible body.

The 05-10 Mustang was boxy and ugly and I hated it, still do. But in 2011 when they changed the panels and made it more rounded, I fell for Ford again, but I'd still rather buy a 02 T/A than spend money on a new mustang. Just who I am, love the LSx motors too much.
