2011 Mustang GT 412hp!

So you've verified this with the engineers at Ford? It is a modular motor...what are you looking at? The only thing different is it is a 4 valve/4 cam with what Ford calls, Ti-VCT...(Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing)...

It is a modular ...so our 3.8L is basically the same as the 5.7L, right? They are both pushrod engines! They designed the new 5.0L fresh, not as a derivative.

No, your missing the point. It isn't really refreshed...its the same "concept" as the Cobra motor that wasn't blown. Just more displacement, VVT, and a different IM.

...and a different block, and pistons, and everything else. The Coyote has as much in common with the 4.6/5.4 as our 3.8 has with the 5.7.

fox body and the 351 FTW...my next project. but a t/a would be so sweet too. not a mod motor fan. low end grunt FTW

What kind of track times are you seeing??

Car is down for the winter...installing stage 4 clutch, built tranny, carbon fiber driveshaft, 4" exhaust, and then the tune. Should be ready for Spring.

450 whp i bet he runs mid 11s, with spray he may touch 10s.

That sounds about right. My goal is mid-10s on slicks...if I can get there consistently, I'll be happy.

Buddy of mine has a '02 SS with LT's, ORY, dump, ST3 cam, CAI, Ported TB, 9", 4.11's, short shifter, stage 3 clutch, and M/T's...without the 150 he is running he ran an 11 something @ 124 IIRC.

I'm betting low 10's on the 150 and a new tune though

i know plenty of 400hp camaro's/trans ams that go 11's with some decent tires. then with a 150 shot most are mid 10's. if you can drive mid 10's should not be an issuie. for 9's............ well thats gonna take great suspension, great driving, great tires, blah blah blah. might need some forged pistons to take the amount of spray that its gonna need to go 9's also.

but mid 10's is deff doable if thats the power it puts down. i see it all the time.
