2008 Grand Prix GTP Sunroof!!

Okay I have a 2008 GP that I purchased from a dealer a little over a year ago. It's like brand new. I bought the extended warranty. But The dealer is giving me a hard time about the sunroof issue I'm having. It's been leaking by the back passenger window and the head liner stinks!

I had it in last year for the problem and they said the rails were plugged with leaves and junk. so they blew/cleaned them out. I take it off the road in the winter so now I started driving it again and it's leaking in the same spot again! No happy, took it back to the dealer they gave me a run around at first saying that my warranty had run out and I called GM and it's good until 2013 so they lied there again. As it turns out there is a part that is broken by the sunroof causing it to leak back by the passenger window. The part is $1K, but they don't want to replace my head liner, which I'm in the process of talking to GM about because it stinks so bad!

So my questions is has anyone else had issues with 2008 GP's with this issue? I'm wondering how common this is. The dealer just wanted to get rid of me and ignore the issue. I'm not going to let that happen especially since I bought the extended warranty. Any help would be appreciated! thx
 


i would turn that dealer in, and go to another dealership.

any dealer has to work on a warranty car no matter where it was bought from. you may not get the most prompt service because they always seem to try to take care of the car that they sold, but it will get done.
 


That was a typo.. typing with the phone w/ auto correct doesn't always likee initials and changes them on me. I havee a gxp, I am still waiting for GM to get back to me before I take it to a different dealer. This dealership is becoming a joke. But we've had issues with some dealers in the past with my wifes car. They always bring up that we didn't buy it from them. I was wondering if this was a common problem. Theey are paying for the sun roof module...waiting to see if they will pay for the head liner still. They claim it has never happened before. Has anyone else had this?
