2008 Grand Prix Base Wheels

I am buying new wheels for my wifes car (2008 Grand Prix Base) I have calculated that 245-45-R18 diameter is 26.68 in versus 26.62 in for the stock 225-60R-16.... Now I am new to all this tire stuff and I am worried about the tires rubbing when turning, are these tires to wide? Anyone have a recommended 18in setup under their Grand Prix?

the tires are fine so long as you dont get a wheel with a really low offset. stick to a wheel with an offset in the +38mm to +45mm area and you should be okay.
