2007 White GP SE



I cut the mufflers out for awhile have since gotten new mufflers and tips re installed. But yeah I really have been thinking about it I removed the lower one just didn't know if it would look to white since I am going white and black themed. Anyway onto the 5 to 8 grand I am not sure what I am going to do I know new headers. But I really dont know what elese thats why I am asking you guys. What would you do beside turboing it?

that sir, depends on what you want out of your car. how much power, reliability, if you would like to go turbo or supercharged etc. after you can answer those questions, we can offer some ways on how to help you get to those goals.
 
Well it is my summer car so it needs to be pretty reliable. I am wanting to get about 320hp from this GP, I am already supercharging it that is why I dont want to go turbo. I want a mixture of cosmetic and performance suggestions. I hope drunkie joins in and gives some ideas.

you are definitely going to want headers, speed daddy are pretty cheap but are effective. actually, try to get headers before you even perform the top swap.
to get to your goal, youll need a cam. now, onto the pulley dropping ;)
with that cam and headers, youll be able to flow alot more. with a 3.4 pulley and XP cam, youll probably be about 280 ish wheel horsepower. which is about 320 ish crank horsepower. you will also be on the verge of breaking your stock transmission, and since you need it reliable, i wouldnt go much lower on the pulley size.
of course, pulley size safety can only be determined via scanning! get an wideband and scan your car, you will either need to tune it, or have somebody else tune it to ensure your car is running safely and at optimum performance.
 


Hopefully you have your own tuner or know someone that can tune. You'll also need a 04-05 pcm to tune it, and the gas gauge will read backwards.

Reaching 320 hp is a tall task, its not hard to reach that with some money, but then you lose with the trans, so it likely it wont last long if you beat on it.
 
yeah you are going to want to use some of that money and get a built trans because the stock one wont hold up with the kind of power you want. and when you get a built trans make sure to get a shift kit too for some extra fun :th_thumbsup-wink: i have the thrasher i like it. you will want that one if you are looking to get really firm shift and want chirping tires when you shift 1st to 2nd WOT. if you just want improved shifting but not chirping tires just go with the transgo. its a good kit i hear a lot of good things about it. it wasnt for me though because i wanted the chirping tires :th_biggrin2:
 
the thing is though....ive seen quite a few stock trans hold up to that kinda power. i guess its hit or miss. personally, i wouldnt bother rebuilding a trans until the stock one fails. a shift kit will help preserve the clutch, and they are cheap and easy to do.
 
well if he cant find anything else to do with that money he might as well build a trans cuz then he will be all set for more power when he wants it. he will only be able to do so much with the engine before needing a built trans and if he doesnt spend a lot on cosmetics he will have enough left to build a trans. i wish i had enough to build a trans lol it would give me peace of mind for the future haha

I know lol I drop it off wensday for that to get all fixed. The one good thing though is I am getting a new bumper which I was planning on having to get the license plate bracket holes filled.

Yeah I know its not programmed for it. Eventually I am going to get it working was just a good deal and my wheel is peeling in the back so just decided to buy this one.
