so, ho much would you say you've learned from this build? on a scale from 1-10, where were you before, and where are you now with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the most knowledgeable you could possibly be on a 3.8...?

Well doing a topswap before hand and a diff swap on the trans i had to experience. So i would about have a 3 or 4. I taught myself and had the help of some friends. The lastest build i did. It was very well planned, thought out did my research. I would say now my experience now is about a 9 cause im still learning how to tune. All in all id feel confident to do anything to my car now!!

thats great man. i still got some learning to do on the L67 . Shoot me a PM when ya get ur car all back together, i still need to see that thing, love that color.

I'll be putting my sd headers on this weekend and then have dave hopefully re tune it early next week. Any words of wisdom for the header install? we'll be doing it at my brothers shop so i'll have any tool i need and a lift so hoping it goes smoothly....

u cant drop the headers in from the top with out taking the v/c's off, alt off and some other little things. you could do it from the bottom but would need to take the sway bar off to do so......and ughh dave says he doesnt have time to tune my car cause he need to get his done, grrrrr!!!

i dropped my headers in form the top without takin out the alt or the valve covers. I just had my engine cranked forward as far as possible

Didnt work on mine. Barely cleared the head with the vc off and engine rocked all the way forward

Dont use the ****ty gaskets headers come with, go get felpro, and copper rtv to seal the cross over, and the down pipe sections

lol!! yeah he told me he was getting close to having his running again now with those new tog extremes he picked up.

thanks for the advice on the headers, i think we're just going to attack it from the bottom, take off the sway bar considering we have a lift and full shop at our disposal. and i heard that some people need to flip the sway bar so it doesn't hit the dp anyways

With the speed daddys i modified the rear header and down pipe with interlock flanges. You will not have to do anything other than rock the motor forward and put it in. i have installed and uninstalled these in an hr. its easy

So my car decided to throw another kink in the chain. The trans locked up on me last night. The good news is........the trans in under a lifetime warrenty!!! :)

wow locked up huh? dang that sucks, good to hear it has a lifetime warranty though....so i guess i probably won't be seeing your ride this weekend then huh?
