Im not very good with cars at all but i have a Grand prix 2007 simple edition. I bought a after makert CD/MP3 player. I was going to take it somewhere to get installed. Unforunately im stationed in this very small town with only 1 place really to upgrade cars and they charge WAY to much for their work. Does anyone really know what i would need to install this after market system?? I know i will prolly need a wiring harness and possibly a dash kit. Here is the link to the one that i have...

Pioneer - 50W x 4 MOSFET Apple® iPod®/Satellite Radio/HD Radio-Ready CD Deck - FH-P8000BT

If anyone has any information that would be great THANKS!!:D

Nice! ive personally never installed a double din but its pretty much the same. You need a wiring harness and i believe u need a dash kit as well. U will also need a pair of wire crimpers and cutters and a bunch of butt connectors. they are color coded and red are the ones u need they should be 18 gauge u can get them at your local wal-mart or autoparts store in the wiring section. u could also use the cap style connectors if u prefer those. U will also probbably need a nut driver i believe 5/16 to remove the old headunit and install your new one. u will have to pull ur dash bezel off to access the stereo. hope that helps.

its gravy just pop the bezel over your ignition. pop the trim. theres about 9 screws to get to the radio.pull the old one out all the wires are color coded. then plug the new harness into the back of your new radio. plug in your antenna. and test it before you plug it up. also you need the dash kit also. if you got amp and subs whole new ballgame. also if you got a DVD player you need to hook the ebrake wire into your ground wire so you can watch while the car is moving
