• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

2007 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4L V8

2010.

Alot of guys who get the issue just ignore it and keep driving, it really shouldn't grenade the engine.

He didn't grenade it. When it first started making a little noise, he took it in and was told it was normal. Got louder and they did an oil system flush with no improvement, but was told it was fine now. About a month after that it sounded like it was about to fly apart at any minute. Then he was told he wasn't changing his oil often enough. The repeated visits along with a bulletin about the OLM are what are keeping him fighting since he feels its clear he didn't abuse the truck.

Yeah I've read Ford tells everyone it is normal LOL.

You can buy a kit that simply locks the cam phasers. If and when mine start making noise, I will just do the kit, but many guys have said switch from the 5w20 to Rotella 5w40. I'll probably run the Ford Motorcraft Synblend 5w30 and filter.

Apparently the full service history is on the CarFax. The owner of this truck followed the scheduled maintenance to the T...now I have nothing to do. :sadpace:

Clean up those couple of brackets that you mentioned. Make your baby totally rust free, so you don't have issues from it spreading like wildfire. Then do your mods.

Seems like him doing the maintenance made it cheaper for you overall.

Well this didn't take long.

Kenwood DDX392 in, dashcam in, LEDs in, Speakers in.

I run the Warm White inside all my vehicles, I find the Cool white is too harsh on my eyes at night.

I have the hood deflector, sunroof deflector and in-channel window deflectors to pick and put in. I'm waiting until the 4th of July for the TRS sale for projectors.

Same here. Cool white just hurt my eyes to damn much, warm white is where its at

Truck has 69,000 miles on it now.

I just finished the retrofit with LED fogs too.

I have a sunroof deflector and new speakers to put in. I have to get the front windows tinted soon and some nicer floor mats eventually would be great.

Otherwise...that's a wrap. I have no other plans.

Cleaned the truck today...first time since buying it. I added a surf board to the roof (sunroof deflector) and added a sub under the backseat. I just need to tint the front windows on this thing and do the ghetto airbox mod. I also have a set of wheel well liners to put in.

Yeah Gotts, its really the same kind of mod we did with the Maxima's except we called it Ghetto. Taking a piece of intake off to fit a 3" PVC pipe is a ghetto mod LOL

I just installed the same sub in Saab this past weekend.
