Not suprised, those v6's are just about as quick as a GXP....

None of those things added power.

You have 260 CHP and 280 CTQ.

4G has top end power, aka it pulls up top, and has more gears, usually resulting in better gearing, so it stays in that peak longer.

It's also 100 lbs lighter.

You have maybe 220 wheel horsepower.

As does the girly car, but it has 5 gears and better gearing compared to our cars.

But add a few more mods and your car will be quicker.


I mgiht also add, trying from a different speed or from a dig, the outcome will be different.

Race gas (i.e. octane) doesn't add power. You probably took away power with race gas. Shift kit didn't add power. Overkill PCM may have helped a little, but not much. T-stat didn't add power.

Your 2006 GT has 2.93 final drive. That Eclipse has 3.3325 final drive (3.777 if its a 6 speed) Also Grand Prix's suck in the higher RPMs. There is just no power there. You were doomed from the get go.

I didnt expect added hp by 110, i expected zero kr... shift kit was just a quick easy mod, and I didnt expect hp, or faster r/t on that either.. the overkill pcm made a big improvement , especially on stock pulley.. t stat and 605s were just to add with the supporting mods

I dunno if its losing to the girlfriend DD, or the fact that its such a chick car.. Either way it stung a little bit..

I thought I would take the eclipse, but it wasnt even close@ any rpm..


Headers, cam, IC and a 3.2 would put a smile on my face, until I saw my bank account , then had to drive to Will in canada for a tune
 


Wow im pretty shocked even wth the Eclipse having "better gearing". I would have thought you would win by a half car at least having a few mods.
 
me too, especially after the overkill pcm, and shift kit.. Car felt wayyyyy quicker and shifted much faster than stock
