2006 Mustang GT wheels on a 1998 GTP

I was reading around on other threads and stuff about hub-centric rings when running 114.3mm bolt pattern wheels. Would it be a good thing to invest in some of those for my car? I'm not tracking it, just daily driving it.

No.

I ran Mustang wheels for years on multiple cars with no issues what-so-ever.

It's hysterical that people think that .3~ of a difference will destroy everything.

It's all fine.

Toss them on, have them balanced, enjoy.

Yeah, it really isn't a huge difference. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

The hub rings are only to have the wheel make contact with the hub. They can eliminate vibration but aren't really needed.

Alright, don't have any issues there. I'll try and post up some more pictures after I clean the car. It has been raining for the past two days basically, so there's no point in a bath until the weekend.

Little update here. Looks a lot better yet on a clean car. I'm really happy with the way it looks, especially for $250.

Yeah, I can't wait to shine them up a bit more. They are actually mostly polished, but the centers of the spokes are silver.

They are more than likely clear coated so polish them up with products you would use on paint. Then seal them every 3 months or so and you are good.

Yeah, I imagine they have a clear coat on them. And I know it would look great lowered. That's a future possibility, maybe when I get some new tires. I don't think I'm going to paint them any other color. I'll stick with the polished and silver look! They make the car pop more than a darker color would.

Good choice on keeping them silver.

For sure. Plus then I don't have some cheap-ass looking rims that are spray bombed. I can't imagine trying to sell those wheels later on if they were a different color. Nobody buys them as they are, so who would want them if they were ruined with a different color? Just thinking ahead here too. The less money spent, the better, which is why I don't really want to lower it, mod it, or basically do anything other than general maintenance on the car. It's just my daily driver, and I'd rather put money into my Camaro instead!

Nice wheels! Wonder if they were mine I sold 8 years ago, lol. Came across this thread because my son was asking me if the Mustang wheels fit his GTP he just got 2 days ago. Too bad I dont have them, I wanted wider, but they really look good on the GP's!!!!

No, don't think they were yours unless you ran them up against a curb! I definitely like your current rims. I'm sure your son will find something somewhere. Just have to keep looking!
