2006 gxp marker light question

I noticed my front driver's side marker light was out. Got bulbs, changed it, and still doesn't work. The strange part is the light still works (both the old and the new bulbs) when being used for a turn signal and flashes as normal when locking / unlocking the car.

I've noticed a few other Grand Prixs running around town with the same marker light out. Anyone have any experience with this?

if its just one bulb in one marker lamp not working i'd check the socket the bulb sits in, it may be corroded or have a worn through wire.
