2006 Grand Prix Radio display half working

Hello,
I have a 2006 GrandPrix with a stock radio where the display is only half working. The left side of the display is dim, and the right side of the display works fine. Any ideas on how I can get this fixed?

Need to replace an LED. Hope your good with soldering. There is a write-up on this site about it.

I may be interested in buying another radio if I cant fix it. What do you have or suggest?

Mines just the stock one with the 6 disc changer. In a couple weeks (when check from work comes) im getting a touchscreen for the Grand prix

Unless you want to go drop money on an aftermarket HU... including wiring that you need.... it's and easy simple fix.
