2005 ignition switch replacement

ok its at home and will be attempting to do it tonight, but im not sure how to remove tumbler from the actually switch. also when i got to shift usally u have to apply the brake, well i can just change it with out brake. so im thinking maybe thats why im also getting wierd codes that make no sense

sorry to drag up an old thread, but did you figure this out? I'm going to be going this to my 05 gt as well

yeah it really easy to swap em out.
