Everything seems to be going nuts on our gxp fuel gauge up and down, abs, traction control light all going off and flashing Please Help any ideas?

Next I would check the terminals, clean them and make sure the connection is nice and tight.

Anytime I've had that security system go crazy on me (GTP) it had something to do with either the battery, alternator or the cable/terminals.

Mines went up to about 14.5 before so I don't think that's a issue. Out of curiosity did you have the alternator tested as well?

Did not have any more lights or chimes going off this time after I reinstalled the battery but higher voltage made me think maybe something else might be wrong.

Dirtdog or 91parkave needs to chime in

To the rescue...I've had alit of experience lately with electrical in these bit*hes. Is ur GXP an 05-06?
And have u checked all ur fuses out? Make sure none of em is bad or popped.
FYI 14.5-15.3ish is normal for GXP mine stays around 15.3 now

DirtDog she is a 05 and all fuses are good after reinstalling the battery back in it I took it up the road and back and had nothing go off like normal maybe it was a loose connection????

1st things first....so i have in my position finally the new fuse box cover and the battery current sensor.
Starting with the battery current sensor, i talked with the master tech at GM when i picked it all up today and they explained to me that the stock sensor on my car (GM part #10306471) was a known issue with the cars that it was installed in from 2005 to very first off the line 2007s. Then it was superseded by GM part #13505369 at that point which is supposed to fix the issues. continuing my talk with him the purpose of said sensor is to help regulate the power in the car from the alternator and also provides the voltage the the Drivers information center shows. (Didn't ask how it works didnt really care lol). Also when i told him that sometimes when i have the alternator tested when the cars electrical is acting weird the regulator in the alternator shows being bad and other times it didn't, well guess what....this stupid piece of crap sensor can make it appear so to the simple testers that it is a bad alternator...go freaking figure. well hopefully this fixes my problems when i stick it in tomorrow!!

^^^^ that's a post I made a few days ago. Check that as well. Its a 22 dollar part (dealer only) see which part number u have

Its right above the battery and the ground wires run to it at the battery

That's what it looks like (my battery is in trunk)

Right next to the connector for the wires there will be two numbers. The top one is the GM part number. See which one of the numbers I listed above it matches
