2005 gtp whine noise

My car randomly gets a whine that isn't from the supercharger. It only does it as RPMs climb. People say this noise is from power steering or alternator pulley going bad. Just would like some general help and ideas as to what you guys might think it is. Also, its not an everyday thing, it only started a few weeks ago when it got really cold here in Michigan and only does it once in awhile. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It could be one of those two things, but I've had a water pump go bad and make a whining noise also. I would grab a mechanic's stethoscope (they are cheap) and check the pulleys on the accessory belt one at a time until you here the one that is making the noise.
