2005 Grand Prix Shift Kit??

Just wondering if the Transgo or Thrasher Shift Kits work in the 2004 and up 4T65E trannys, i talked to a tranny guy i deal with at work and he pretty much told me its not needed for the newer trannys because gm changed some electronics in the tranny. Just wondering if members here have used them and what kits work best. Thanks

any shift kits is good, even if its newer. new does not mean better, its the same tranny for the past 10+ years, just upgraded parts to make it last longer.

Where ya at in minnesota btw?
 
The guy you talked to is probably talking about the line pressure which IIRC in the newer trans you are not able to mess with because its an on or off type of deal. As far as the shift kit goes it would make a nice difference even in the newer trans.
