2005 GP sluggish even jumpy when I accelerate, only on occasion???

Ive only had my grand prix for about two months, has 82k miles. Im wondering what the problem could be .. cause it only does it once every couple days or even every couple weeks, and if I turn the car off, then back on again the problem stops. When this is happening and I accelerate from a complete stop or near a complete stop, as I accelerate it feels real sluggish, and even jumpy if that makes sense. No check engine lights have come on and like I said, if i restart it goes away until next time. I have read a couple other people having the same problems and it just being an '05 glitch .. but I hate this and want to fix it ... but dont want to pay hundreds trying to figure out what it could be. Anyone have any ideas or similar problems?? Thanks!

1. Take it to an auto parts store to be scanned free of charge.
2. Clean Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) with MAF cleaner spray.
3. Clean throttlebody plate with thottlebody cleaner and a toothbrush - let dry thoroughly in the open position before reassembly.
4. Replace air intake filter with new.
5. Replace fuel filter located in front of the rear driver side wheel.

Also, make sure if it is a GTP, you're putting in 91 octane or better.

My '05 does the exact same thing, on mine I've diagnosed it to be a faulty or gunked up pressure control solenoid in my transmission.

Pretty difficult job to replace it from what I can see and have heard, either drop the tranny or do a whole lot of other half drops to call it that, in order to reach the panel to replace the cheap as **** sensor.

Ever hear of seafoam? They make a transmission cleaning fluid in addition to their normal injector cleaner, probably going to do that and put in a shift kit in a few weeks as either solution has worked well for most people, why not combine them?

But really, like kind of "uneasy" acceleration, and shifts a bit higher in the rpm's? Try just changing out your tranny fluid and filter, when I did mine it was DISGUSTING! Obviously no one had ever done it before (I got my 05 GT at 59,000) and because of that my sensor is now gunked up and gives me problems once in a while. Turning the car off and back on solves it until it randomly occurs again.

Edit: And if it IS your transmission's PCS, it DOES throw a code, until you restart the car, so unless you have it scanned while it's acting up, you won't find any codes relating to that.
