2004 Regal with New Trans

I had some warranty work done on the Gf's car, it is a 2004 Buick regal GS. The trans was going out, pull the pan and and band material, brass shavings in the filter. The Shop replaced the trans with a NEW 4t65E Trans, now my question is...since its supercharged did they put the wrong transmission in? should of they put the 4T65E-HD in??

hows the car feel? like the shift points and gearing, it pull and shift the same way? if so you got the right trans.

the non Hd trans has different gears and you would be able to tell if they were changed.

if you went to a dealer, under warranty, im sure they put the right trans in there.

they would have to tune the pcm for the gear change, not sure they would go that far to screw you over, it could just me a miss print or they just forgot to write the HD, theres a lot of N/A cars on the road that used the non HD trans.

you would also have a new pass side axle due to it being different length between the 2 trannys.

They would go by the VIN and the non HD version wouldn't be considered a direct fit. Therefore they used an HD. BTW the only differences HD vs non HD are the gear ratio, size of differential and it's housing, passenger axle length and the output shaft length. Overall though..the diff is the major difference.
