Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

white hood fking wins. and you knew it.

also cam, dave be too cool to do his plugs every oil change.

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

White hood painted that way = win

Way better than Jeremy's ugly-ass full CF hood (;
his would look better that way too.

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

IIRC isnt the 7/8's trans chain better over a 15/16th just some thing to think about Dave.

Everytime I think this car is done..............

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

go back to carbon fiber hood lol

No. Just no.

Why fully exposed carbon fiber became popular: ricers bought it for "weight savings" and were too poor afterwards to paint it, then it turned into a trend.

carbon fiber hood or black would look better, who cares if ricers did it, doesnt automatically make u a ricer if u do carbon fiber, but either way the car still looks good with the hood regardless what color it is

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

I left mine full carbon fiber because I was too cheap to get it painted. I'll eventually get it painted If i get bored.

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

His wasn't real carbon fiber it was fiberglass, not sure if some of you guys knew that.
I don't know which i should get. I hear CF hoods dont like the winter too much.

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

What's this winter you speak of? Winter beaters ftw. My biitch gets parked.

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

The truth about PFYC Inferno hood...its junk for the price.

By the time you get it to your door your out $1,200 or so.

-It doesn't fit perfectly
-one side of the hood is thicker than the other
-underside of hood has unfinished areas
-its fragile
-the Carbon fiber ones aren't really carbon fiber, they take a sheet of CF and lay it but the vent/scope areas are black, but over time the "gel coat" fades and cracks, the black looks grey after a while

Its not really that great of product. at $500 to your door, then yes its not so bad

Re: 3 Gear Panda - Jackin' it in San Diego

I got a hood peg for it finally, got it off ebay for $2 (I bought my hood used from someone and told them I would be willing to buy the hood peg for the strut, they said buy another hood and you can have one...seriously, that is what they told me) PFYC is a POS company

So now I can open the hood and have it stay up normal now, which is awesome.

to the average eye, CF, and ESPECIALLY black makes it look like you got in a wreck, got a junkyard hood, and couldnt afford to paint it. even i still see that half the time. 50% of the time, it's the truth. its a junkyard hood.
