2004 Impala SS

So I've been roaming around here for quite some time and I decided to finally share my story. I have a 2004 Impala SS 240k miles. Been my baby for 3 years and I finally decided after this winters toll that I would restore it like I have always wanted it to be.

1st lets start by going through where its been in the last 3 years

The goal was to make it just like it would have been in 2004 off the show room floor

This meant new rear doors, hood, left fender, trunk lid, spoiler and rockers. I also put the chrome 17's off of a Indy pace car edition.

And heres the progress yesterday, bumpers sanded and primed and glass pulled and started cutting apart the quarters and blocking the doors. Also addressing the rust in the windshield frame.

Had to daydream by putting them next to my girlfriends Impala.

The fun part

Rockers were worse than expected

Did alittle body work on this side because it will be seen from the door jam i promise its not just mudded up lol

Back end looks so sexy

Drivers door is full of dust thats why it looks off hue

Long day of wet sanding and buffing, also got wheels on.

All done! (minus filler plate which I added a few weeks later)

With Filler Plate

And thats my story in a nutshell. I'm sure I missed stuff but it gives everyone a good idea of my story.

damn nice work. i take it your a body man by trade? or you got some tight friends or family with a sweet shop :th_winking:

Looks great. I've always liked this style wheel. I actually liked the intimidator wheels on it as well. I told my cousin to get some but he has not been able to find a set.

where are you in minnesota? paint job looks pretty damn good and A+ on the rocker repair.

ohh and A ++ for not putting black wheels on a black car!!

Awesome work! I have a set of clones as well. 04 IndySS & 05 SS. The 05 is going use as a donor until everything done with my Indy. Really nice work though! I could stare at these cars all day! Lol

Rogers MN hmm id love to have the rockers done on my caged car and a fresh new black paint job!! work looks pretty damn good!

No **** huh, I'm from rogers.

I can't tell where you are though, do you live by the K-5 school??

I live closer to the Veit construction company.

Can't say I've ever seen the car around.

Good stuff, looks great for the mileage.

Basically a brand new car.

How's the interior on it? I always liked the Monte/Imp dash with that actual factory boost gauge and not some LEGO bar they gave the GTP's.
