2004 gtp compg coil over conversion

my coilovers arrived today from zzperformance, but to my dismay they are not exactly what i need after all. in talking to the coilover manufacturer, westshoremanufacturers, i find i need the older style front lower control arms and sway links, sway bar to do this conversion. my question is, has anyone done this to their 2004+grand prix? what parts are required? and where to procure them? thanks!

Yeah just get the 97-03 control arms from dorman, since your bushings and ball joints are probably worn out anyways. Then get an upgraded sway bar if you care about handling. Or you can just use those coil overs with no sway bar.

a thought occured to me overnight. if i built a washer to insert between the adjusting nut and the spring with a tab that connects to the original link bar, then i can use the stock lower control arm and sway bar. this would locate in the original position and solve the problem i think. i'm going to do some measurements and make up a design. what do you think of my solution?
btw, when i first contacted zzperformance i specified that i had a 2004 gtp, just so this problem wouldn't happen, great customer support huh.

yeah, dave swapped out lower control arms.

i would do the same since the suspension parts are cheaper anyway when you get to the point of replacement.

Cheaper and easier to just swap out the LCA's to 97-03, W-body store sells some nicely built ones with Moog Balljoints and Poly bushings. I also picked up the Dorman 25mm Front sway, the front end plants itself in corners nicely. I find the long Sway bar endlink setup with the 04+ is weak and that converting to the old 97-03 is a much stronger setup.

I'm dropped about 3" with about another 1/2-3/4" I could still go.

so here's what's been going on since i got my coilovers from zzperfromance.
although i appreciate the solution given of using the previous generation lower control arms, i have been doing some measuring and have made a solution i am going to try.
by using two "C" type clamps which replicate the original sway bar link strut connection (adjustable up or down in position) as well as a new link bar which is adjustable in length ( using rod ends to connect to the sway bar and strut), i will be able to use both my new generation lower control arm and sway bar.
in pricing a set of previous generation lower control arms and gmmp sway bar, i can complete the coil over conversion and save about $300 in cost. i have a compG so i already have a strong sway bar, no need to get a new one.
btw i will replace the lower control arm bushings and ball joints on monday. they are worn somewhat, but i might as well replace them. zzp front and rear strut tower braces, and zzp rear trailing arms are to be ordered today. kyb mud boots with bump stops were ordered yesterday (not included with these coilovers...bad!), new tires (goodyear assurance A/S for the winter) are being installed today.
as i live on vancouver island, british columbia, canada. i have to wait 2-3 weeks for parts to arrive, this will take a while to complete. i will provide pictures and drawings of my solution when done so be patient with me and my parts suppliers.
