2004 gtp comp g thudding problem

Hey I am having a weird issue with my 2004 GTP Comp G, when turning left I get a repetitive thudding noise and it thuds faster when going at faster speeds. Also a vibration can be felt through the steering wheel. After 2200 dollars in repairs to brakes, a wheel bearing and a full inspection and other things the problem still still exists. thoughts?

Holy bananas! I would check your CV shafts as well. Also its more of a popping sound/feel is the intermediate steering shaft.

i have to ask, what kind of brakes cost 2200 bucks? a wheel hub maybe 300 or so installed, so 1900 for brakes?

and their inspection failed! i would have been right back at the shop saying its not fixed!

and can i be your mechanic? i need money like that. i replaced all 4 rotors and pads on my car for just under $200.

all joking aside check the cv boot for damage and grease that may have been slung all over, if so its for sure your noise.

I got a few things done to my car, control arm replace and brushing. Oil Change, Emission Test, Alignment, Ceramic pads and brake rotors for both front and back, and a wheel bearing. What they fixed needed fixed but they didn't fix what I brought it in for. Also I thought it was the CV Joint but they said that it wasn't when I brought it in. I am taking it elsewhere to do the rest of the work and find the true problem... I will let you all know what it is once I get it all fixed up... and yes I feel ripped off.....

thats still a boat load of cash, but then again i was quoted 800 for tie rods lca's an alignment, and strut mounts. i forget what they wanted to swap out the strut mounts, im thinking like 150 or 200, i was like, theres only 5 bolts holding them in right???? he nodded yes, and i walked out. and he stood there with 5 people waiting for their cars to be finished looking like a jerk.... the waiting room was like 10 x 5 so they heard it all lol

the following week i removed the struts and dropped them off at the shop to swap out the mounts,( 25 bucks for labor) replaced them on my car and then i had my tie rods done (myself) and a alignment done,(70) so 800 quickly turned into about 300 or less.

i really hate giving my money away for stuff i can do with minimal tools. some stuff you are better off having it done,(alignment and strut mounts, who wants a spring in the head) but most of the time its all me.

Its all fixed up now, it was the whole bearing and assembly, the first guys just didn't catch it. Thanks for all the help!
