2004 gtp blown engine

Just bought a 04 gtp with a blown engine knocking doesn't sound to consistent with lower end. Could I just use a l26 lower end for it be good? Or find a charged engine to replace? There are tons of n/a engines on Craig's around here for good prices.

im pretty sure i saw the same listing and was going to call about that today. ha ha. what color is the car? it didn't say. they wanted 1900.

If you put a NA bottem end in you need to do other supporting mods to run the high comp block.

Its better to find a L67 or L32 bottem end and make it a straight swap with no hassles.

Like what supporting mods? Headers? Tune? Intake? Colder plugs and tstat Which are all items I plan on running anyway

Headers and a tune mainly. Colder plugs and tstat arent needed if kept on the stock. But just know the NA L26 is not the best block for boost and you may need a 4.0 pulley to run it like a 3.8 on a L32 block.

I bought the 04 in my sig with a blown motor and stuck an L26 in it. You'll more than likely need to do some mods to accommodate for the higher compression block. Or, find yourself a L67 or L32.

Or, the best option of all......sell the car to me. :D
