2004 GTP 4T65E-HD interchange question

Tony here is the deal. IF you purchase the 06 Trans, you would have to re use the Valve Body and the Channel Plate from your Trans, While you have the parts off also take out the Drive and Driven Gears as well as the Chain set......and install it in the new trans and you have a Comp G Trans.

your Cost would be the New channel plate Gaskets and some fluid.....
 


Lets get this straight now..

The ONLY Grand Prixs to come with TAPShift are the 04-05 CompG and the GXP models.

The difference between the two transmission wise, is the CompG has 3.29 final drive and the GXP has 2.93s
