I have a 2004 grand prix gt it started to vibrate on the hwy about a week ago. It has 152,000 kms. I replaced the cv axle at 117,000 kms, Bearings at 135,000 and I have michelin Hydroedge tires with 65% tread left. I also just did the breaks last week with new rotors and break pads. I had an alignment at 125.000 and the tires balanced at 120,000. The vibration isnt horrible but it is annoying. I was just wondering what it could be? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

X2^^, start with the tire balance. Do you feel it in the steering wheel or is it coming from the back of the car? Turning, acelerating or what? It could be a rear wheel bearing if it's vcoming from the back of the car.

Also you may want to check and see if any of your wheel (Rims) are bent. That will cause vibrations as well.

I had a bad tie rod and it vibrated at high speeds like that. But it got real bad, thought my tire was gonna fall off

having a vibration issue myself. after replacing axles, tie rod ends, and some other odds and ends, i had the tires balanced for the third time, but this time on a gsp9700. (find one near you at gsp9700) get it road force balanced. as it turns out my tires are crap and the treads are moving around as the tire rolls. so there was my vibration.

the machine is apparently great for diagnosing hard to solve vibration problems. it tests for rim runout, tire runout, tire pulling (if equipped), and apparently has a more refined balance (dynamic). so you can check it out and maybe that'll help you.

new tires on the way for me, so *fingers crossed* good luck!
