2004 grand prix 3800 series 3 power-steering pump replacement

Hello everyone.

I need to change a power-steering pump in my daughter's 2004, 3800 series 3. Has anyone here done this job on this year and series car? If so, maybe a step by step procedure would help me, along with a few details like, removal and installation of pulley, flushing of the steering gear, what to remove to gain more room, etc. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

i think its the same as the previous model.

series III didn't change much.

One concern I have. Is there enough room to get a flare wrench and a back-up wrench on the high pressure fitting with the pulley on the pump?
