2004 GPGT in the 14's

Will strictly a tune on premium, CAI, and HV3 get a 2004 GPGT into the 14's in the 1/4 mile?

Are there any other cheap go fast mods. No boost.

driver mod. not a joke.

I should have that. I had a Cobalt SS/SC Stage 2. and I ran that thing into the high 13's with only stage 2 and supposidly that is really hard to do. So you are saying 14's are possible with those mods than?

I had what you have above and I think I ran a 14.8.. but its all about your launch.. with a ****ty reaction time your not going to break into the 14's.

Reaction time has nothing to do with your E.T. or trap speed...they time you form the second you leave the line, not when the light turns green.

As for 14's...maybe. I'd say with a tune, FWI, HV3, 3" DP, and a PLOG...poly mounts really help when your trying to get all of the power to the ground too...especially in a car that doesn't make a good amount to being with.

Not going to happen. I was still in the mid 15's in my 04 GT with 1.84 Rockers, intake, Plog, HV3, downpipe, tune, ect. I really don't think your going to get in the 14's without extreme weight loss or a power adder, i.e. topswap, turbo, nitrous.

Go turbo and skip the 14's and 13's :)

^^Agreed....these cars N/A are turds for the money needed to go fast. I'd leave it stock with SD headers and spray it and run low 14's

you need headwork to run a GT2 cam, so im not seeing what you are getting at here. i just remember a WHILE ago there was an n/a guy running a GT2 cam setup with S&S headers who was running 13.5s in his car.

What would be the point of putting heads on a L26/L36 when you can top swap for less than a set of good heads? Sure it can be done but only a handful of people have went that route when the cheaper/easier way is to go power adder.
