2004 GP GTP bearings?

I recently rotated the tires on this car, and shortly afterward, I noticed that I was getting some low speed odd sounds from the driver's side front end. So today, I was changing the oil, and playing around with the driver's side wheel... I seem to have a lot of play up and down, with a small but noticeable clunk... I'm thinking its loose lug nuts or a bad wheel bearing. I can't tighten the lugs nuts any farther, so I thought perhaps there was a ridge or rust on the hub preventing the wheel from mounting properly... after cleaning that up and torquing the bolts down pretty hard, the assembly still clunks.

The car has 100K on it, and I'm not hearing any grinding, humming or other typical wheel bearing noises when driving... but perhaps I'm going deaf or these cars have too much sound deadening. My '99 Bonneville has gone 230K with its wheel bearings without issue... so 100K seems like a short life for these bearings, especially if they are not making noise at speed.

So I'm pricing wheel bearings, and I see that some have ABS and some don't. Which would a '04 GP need? If the ABS sensor is no longer in the hub... where is it?!? I don't remember seeing an ABS sensor lead, but then again, I wasn't looking for it.

So any thoughts anyone? Am I overlooking something? Thanks in advance.

Look at the suspension components and see what is moving.

I did that, but the movement seems to be a little of everything... there is not a lot of movement, in fact, it only got my attention because of the clunks at the ends of the travel.

Overall, its a pretty tight car, but I'm a big guy... I can make even good components move a little bit.

With the tire off, and a couple nuts keeping the rotor tight, there is less movement... and the clunk is not as noticeable... but I think its because I have less leverage.
