No this isn't another lowering thread.

This about the 1 1/2" x 12" (roughly) gap facing the inside front of the plastic wheel fender liner.
I believe this is responsible for the vast majority of the rot behind my headlights. The spray from the tires would be like watering a lawn.
The passenger side isn't as bad because the washer bottle deflects most of it.

In the process of installing some new 50watt Morimotos, once again I was faced with more leprosy.
Do all the 04-08s have this gap?
I need to devise a solid remedy, this is GM bs.

Has anyone on the webz found a surefire solution for this

the fix...old headlight wrap and innertube with black RTV....cut and smeared to fit

More slop just to make sure it lasts awhile. I'll let it sit overnight and RTV in tomorrow.
More of a deflector than anything.

Dam straight Holmes.
The new XB55 ballasts kick. Bought some new bulbs to go with em, XB35 5500k. More yellow right now compared to the old 5K XB35s.
I did run the 5Ks for a few months with the DSP 55s but switched to the Densos. Now I am back to 50watts.....and really pleased.
Probably going to do a retro on my brothers 04 Forester XT and use the Densos there. That retro will be a lazy mans retro....too easy.
 
Got my package in the other day too.. Xb35 4500k d2s, xb35 h11 bulbs, a few shrouds, 2 harnesses and misc crap.

Somebody took advantage of the July 4th sale :)

That 20% off made me spend. I don't like the new bulb packaging.
I had one bouncing around inside the box.....didn't help I heard the mailman drop the box
I like the old plastic tubes.
 


Me too I was waiting on a sale lol especially knowing I was going to get it done right away. This is the first time I've ordered their bulbs I usually stick with Philips but for the price and reviews I figured I'll give them a shot. I had plenty of stuff ordered so the box was very well packaged thankfully. I'll still be using my matsu ballast.
