2003 Grand Prix stalling out

I have a 2003 Grand Prix with almost 300K Km. Live in toronto and it just started getting real cold. When I lfet work the other day the check engine light popped on and the car started sputtering. Started to drive it and it stalled not too long after I started going. I work at Canadian Tire and turned the car back on and it drove long enough to get back into the shop. The mechanics there told me to let the car sit inside and warm up for a while cause it may be moisture in the gas line. I waited a half hour and the car started fine and the check engine light was gone. I drove home and on the way home the light came back on and the car stalled out 2 more times. I managed to get home and then the next morning I tried to turn on the car and it kept turning on and then stalling right after it starts. I tried starting it with my foot on the gas and I could start it and keep it going if I revved it over 2k RPM. Whenever it dropped below 1.5k RPM it would sputter and stall. Any suggestion on what may be the problem....does this moisture in the gas line sound reasonable? Any suggests or advice would be appreciated.

I started the car this morning and it ran for about 5 min before stalling out. I then tried to turn on again and it started and then stalled right away. I then un-plugged the MAF and the car started again. It didn't sound great but it started again which it didn't do when I had the MAF in. I tried tapping the MAF when it was in to see if it would stall but it didn't seem to do anything. I am gonna try and take out the MAF tonight and clean it to see if this resolves the problem.

Just finished cleaning the MAF and the car seems to be ok now. Ran it for about 15 min with no problems. The check engine light is still on but I assume it has to be reset or something. I heard if you un plug your battery for about 15 min it will reset the check engine light.
