I just had a hitch put on my car unknown since this car doesn't haveover drive 1 2 3 D what had should I tow a trailer and lawn mower or a aluminum boat? What is max weight I should have anyways? Thanks
 


GTPs aren't recommended to tow anything because of the gear ratio if I remember correctly. I would be concerned with trans temps, also the trans kicking in and out of gears so you may need to manually kick it into 3rd and maybe 4th. But I have a feeling its gonna kick the TC in an out too much.

theres a few guys who tow with their GP's, both tow motorcycles one iirc has a dual bike trailer. so you looking at over 1000 lbs being towed. most would say leave it in 3 rd gear to keep it from shifting in and out of OD.

and im pretty sure both of these guys have a trans cooler add to keep the trans temps in check.
 
theres a few how to's on the site here. use google to search the site. add "forum: grandprixforums.net" to your search.

depending where you live, if its cold during winter run it in series, trans lines to the rad, then the out rad line to the cooler, then cooler back to the tranny.

or by pass the rad if your in warm climate year round and just run the new cooler.
