2002 Grand Prix - Have to Briefly Touch Gas Pedal After Starting To Stay Running,Why?

I have to give it a little gas right after starting (just a quick, light rev) or she'll stall. After the light rev then no problem.

Any ideas what's causing this?

We bought the car when she had about 60,000 miles on it and it now has 205,000. Has always done this (I think)..... or at least for a looooong time now.

Appreciate any help you can offer.

I would think everyone, myself included, will tell you to clean the throttle body and MAF, first thing.
. Use the dedicated sprays for each. Grab them at the autozone or oreillys,etc.

Have you checked your fuel filter? Sounds like it could be a clogged up fuel filter
