2002 Grand Prix Gtp Sedan

Question my service light is on found out It's a 02 sensor in front of the converter. Can i bypass or do something different to fix it? Economical stand point lol is this part of a reason im not getting better mpg? Thanks...

Replace sensor, the car needs it.

It's only a 35-40 dollar part and your time to replace it.

MPGs and overall efficiency. Replace it. You won't regret it and get Denso

when bad depending on the code. it can dump gas aka run rich and kill your cat. aka clog it up.

if its a o2 heater code thats not so bad. but should be changed anyway.

When it dumps fuel, it can also seep past your rings and you will get gas in your oil and eventually it will be new bottom end time.
