2002 Grand Prix GT



Check power steering fluid level, it's behind the alternator and down. Kind of tough to see but it's back there.

Check transmission fluid level with the vehicle running and warm. It's just like checking the cars oil dipstick, it will have a level you can view on the stick.

Those are two things that can cause a whining noise.

What it at level though?

Just be careful about "flushes" those can kill the transmission if the service has never been done. I highly suggest a pan drop with a filter change instead of a flush. Have them/you/whoever just replace the filter and add back the 8 quarts of fluid you lost with new fluid and call it a day. A transmission flush could do more harm that good on a high mileage transmission.
 


The Level was just right But a Browish color. But I'm Going to take your advice and just do the Filter Change and add the Quarts backs
