2002 Grand Prix driver seat issues

My seat is all the way back and won't move forward, I need to take the seat out to replace motor. Anyway to manually move the seat so I can get to the bolts?

Best you can do is reach under and unhook the cable at the motor end. then put it in a cordless drill and spin it slowly so it moves forward. You could also do it by hand.

You could tap into the wires that power the seat with your preferred 12v source and manually move the motor depending upon which wire is for the forward motion.

If your motor isn?t working, then try unbolting the seat and disconnecting the harness to lift the seat forward for a better diagnosis.
